Character/Creature development

I've been wanting to create some sort of creature and in looking for inspiration I came across some great pictures of Betta fish. I loved the fullness and colors of their fins, so I decided to start from there.

I just completed this T-shirt design for a Youth Rally taking place in February and realized that it went rather well with the Illustration Friday topic of this week.

This is my animation for the Siggraph IUPUI Winter Wonderland Competition. I had a lot of fun designing the penguin in Illustrator (I imported most of it from Illustrator into Flash).
